Redemption it was. Daniel Bruwer stopped Ruben Groenewald 2min 54sec into the 8th round to win by way of TKO.
From round one both boxers where going full steam but Bruwer was just the better fighter.

on the 25th of January 2011, to prevent Daniel Bruwer and Ruben Groenewald to go at each other again.

The contest for 17 December 2010 has been postponed untill the 29th of January 2011 at Carnival City Casino in Brakpan.
Daniel Bruwer will be facing Ruben Groenewald on the evening for the Vacant SA Cruiserweight Title.
The Title became Vacant on the 5th Of November 2010 when Thabiso Mchunu did not make weight against Daniel Bruwer.

On Friday night Daniel Bruwer went the distance against Thabiso Mchunu, but unfortunately Lost on points.
Although Daniel lost the fight on points Thabiso Mchunu lost his title on the scales because the Cruiserweight limit in South Africa is 190lb(86.18Kg).

It is Official Thabiso Mchunu will do a Mandatory defence against Daniel Bruwer on 5 November 2010 at the ICC in Durban for the SA Junior Heavyweight Belt(Cruiserweight)
Then on the 17th Of December 2010 Daniel Bruwer will be competing against Ruben Groenewald at the Emerald Resort and Casino in Vanderbijlpark for the WBF International Cruiserweight Title.
